An appointment falls apart, when you think it would work---and it is three weeks (or less) to conference, and it's such a GOOD church, and yet, where is the person to serve? I had this happen recently (very recently) and it really seemed to be that I had tried everything I knew to try. And I was failing. I called friend and mentor Nancye, who, knowing how much the weight of this was on me, said, "you don't have to do this alone." The bishop uses the phrase "the hole isn't just in your end of the boat." I was and am grateful for that!
