The Clothing of Christ

I wanted to write a poem tonight about the clothing of Christ...and clothing ourselves in love as we are admonished to do in Colossians 3: 14...(I am working on memorizing this section of Colossians...such a beautiful thing)

I wanted to write and say, how Christ clothes us in love with the love of friends, and how much I have been made to feel safe, secure, warmed, protected, adorned, swaddled, hemmed in, loved by that clothing today.

I wanted to, but I simply am too tired or too relaxed and with no poetry coming, I will just whisper to the Tailor, the Seamstress, the Weaver, the Spinner, as Ann Lamott tells us, one of the only true prayers we every need (along with, "please, please, please"), I say "thank you, thank you, thank you."

I really do not like Ann's stuff, but your thoughts are great.
