Our administrative secretary, Barbara, in the district office copied off one of the chapters of Bishop Schnase's book that I've been reading through this week, and she saw that he quoted "Day by Day" from "Godspell." She then asked me if I had seen "The New Adventures of Old Christine" this week. No, I said, and she said I should. Which I did just now with my daughter and we both really hooted and hahed. I couldn't figure out how to get the clip that is available on the blog, but if you have 20 minutes are so, watch the whole show...you'll be given instruction on how to use "innertube" if you don't know how...I didn't before today.

You know how to put this in your browser. The show is about how Christine is upset that her son wants to go to church--she ends up going and, even though there is a laugh track, her visit was not really funny, in more ways than one...but it really is worth a look. And it's even a Methodist church!!! Actually pretty good stuff, though the folk in the pew don't seem very helpful or friendly. It's just so unusal to find a pastor portayed as anything other than a bumbling bible bungler, or a greasy hypocrite, and the Sunday School scene is worth the effort to get to the site and watch it. Really. And if anyone does, or already has seen it, I'd love to chat.
